Health and Beauty Tips for Spring

Do you have Funky Feet?  I tend to get them from constantly being barefoot (even outside).  The only thing, and I do mean only thing, that has given me results is AmLactin Lotion.  Apply it at bedtime, you'll be amazed at the results (it also works great on dry knees and elbows).  Ask your pharmacist for more product information or click here.

Protect your hair from heat.  If you tend to abuse your hair with the blow dryer and flat iron, like me, I highly suggest you try Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray and Kenra Platinum Hot Spray 20.  By using both of these products, you will dramatically reduce your drying time, protect your hair, and create sleek style that will last all day.

Dry lips?  I am in love with Blistex Silk & Shine.  The name really says it all (plus it has an added bonus of SPF 15).

Enjoy that just left the dentist clean feeling every day with the Philips Sonicare toothbrush.  It's a little pricey but well worth the investment.  Your teeth will thank you!

Try Yoga.  Because it works your body, quiets your mind, and centers your focus.  You don't have to be flexible, you don't need a lot of expensive equipment.  All you need is bare feet and the ground on which you stand.

Drink water.  And lots of it!  Proper hydration gives you better muscles, younger looking skin, more energy, and healthy kidneys.  How do you know how much water you should drink?  According to experts, you should take your weight and divide it in half.  The number you come up with is the number of ounces of water you should be drinking each and every day.

SLEEP for Pete's sake!  There is a reason that doctor's suggest 8 hours per night.  When we are fully rested, our body systems function better, our metabolisms are more active, and our moods are elevated.  It's easy to mistake feeling tired for being hungry.  If you get enough sleep you won't have as much need to snack.

Use sunscreen!  I don't care what kind you use, just lather up.  Protect yourself from the harmful rays of the sun.  I look like Elmer's Glue all year round, but am glad in knowing that I am protecting myself from skin cancer.

Be healthy.  Take care of yourself.  And remember... You're In Good Company.
